RE: Just bought new TH!

Is the titanium the one that has the "double level" nose area? If so what goes in there, cabinets? Typically the head of the bed is in the front nose section on the second level. Trap

RE: Tire Replacement

If the Michelin XP ribs 235/85R16 are a little to big why not go with the 245/75R16's with a tire diameter of 30.6" almost 1-1/2" smaller diameter. Trap

RE: Cleaning Black Tank

I've use the powered Calgon three times. I've noticed that each time it takes less flushing to get the black tank clean. I think I'll keep on using it. It hasn't fixed my sensor problems but I think that is a design flaw anyway. Try filling your tanks about 1/3-1/2 full after dumping and before heading home or to your next destination. Add 2 cups of calgon and about 1/4 cup Dawn dishwahing soap. Drive to your next destination letting the water slosh around in your tanks. Dump when you get to your location and you may find your sensors working properly again. The water sloshing around will thoroughly clean your tanks while you drive. Trap

RE: Rude people in lower mainland B.C. - Is it always like that?

I have found in general Canadian dealers dispise Americans and could care less about your trouble or your worries. There is enough money in Canadians or customers they sold to and due to thier anti American attitudes would rather blow you offPerhaps it is folks with your attitude that generate "anti American feelings"If this is true, more often than not......I would be hesitant to want to RV in Canada. I have heard that you may need to speak French in the eastern half of Canada, because some don't speak English, but that's all I know. I have always felt all of us in North America to be kind of one big family of eb and flow, whether American or Canadian. Am I wrong about this when it comes to dealers that I may need help from when RVing in Canada.:H Just curious. I think you'll find that folk north of the 49th aren't all that dfferent than those south of the 49th. Our culture's and lifestyles are very similar. As one person put it you can run into turds anywhere you go. As well as meet a lot of nice friendly folks also. I do know that if I we're an American I wouldn't hesitate to travel in Canada, just like I don't hesitate to head south of the border into the US. Trap:)

RE: Rude people in lower mainland B.C. - Is it always like that?

I read his title as a question and not a statement, then he went on to tell us of his experience. Would his original post stop me from going to the lower main land No! But it does give me a little insight of what he encountered. Which I think is fairly typical of many of the larger cities. But to jump on someone for getting lost in a strange city and telling him he should have had a better map isn't right/ Trap

RE: Rude people in lower mainland B.C. - Is it always like that?

I don't understand you folks jumping on the op, yes he may of made some errors in his trip, but that doesn't give people the right to be rude. He's stating his experience on a trip and asked a general question. Trap

RE: Sold My 5th Wheel today, Diesel to High and Truck is next

Rving is not just the cost comparison to different types of travel. Some of our friends only like to go to exotic places and stay first class where ever they go. They like to eat out at expensive resturants. Does that make that wrong, NO To us Rving is our preferred method of travel and enjoyment. I'd sooner sit outside and grill a nice steak or burgers etc. than go eat in a fancy resturant. It's all about our preffered method of travel and enjoying some holidays. My personal opinion is if you sell your rv and truck cause of the cost of fuel your probably not enjoying this mode of travel as much as most of us here. Rving is not everyone preffered method of travel. Although it is ours. Trap

For us it's easy drive shorter and stay longer. We enjoy the RV too much to give it up. Trap

RE: Heartland RV problems

I was always under the impression that most frames we're shipped without the axles on them. The manufacture is responsible for installing the axles. Trap

RE: Anybody Have BedSaver on Pull-Rite SuperGlide Hitch?

How's it going Gary, the only problem is that Pullrite doesn't make a 16k hitch anymore they brought out an 18k to relace the 16k around the start of this year. I tried to get the 16k this spring when I got the new Titanium and all they could get was the 18k Superglide. Trap

When towing I always let it idle to cool it down, which can mean leaving it idle while fueling or checking into campground. Trap

RE: Opinions

I'd seriously look at the HH Champagne series of trailers, the biggest thing holding you back will be the size of your truck especially if it's a SRW and not a Dually. Trap:) Looking at buying 5th wheel (75k - 100k) area, pulling with F350 Ford Diesel, want Quality, Dependabilty, all seasons unit, anyone with opinions on make and models please advse. Also any suggestions that you may have.

RE: 2008 F350 SRW max pin weights?

My O7 F-350 CC 4x4 Short Box Lariat 6.0PSD weighs in at Just under 8000 lbs with myself and a full tank of fuel. By the time I add Dog 100lbs DW 135lbs and 18k PullRite Superglide hitch we're just over 8400lbs. Trap

RE: Buying from wholesaler dealers

Wolley I can't say if the factory said that, but I can say the factories do not have a lot of control over the dealers. RV dealers are totally independant of the manufactors unlike with the auto industry that is more like a franchise that the manufactures can control. A dealer does not have to service your trailer if you purchased elsewhere, it's the dealers choice. Trap

RE: moth balls - ugh!

We always put moth balls around any part of the trailer that touches the ground outside. When we store the trailer, the only thing on the inside is a couple of mouse traps. So far we've only ever had 1 mouse in the traps. Trap

RE: towing level

That's what we had to do to get our Titanium to tow level. I took truck to a local 4x4 shop and had them do it. They Charged just over 200.00 for labour and new blocks and U-Bolts. Trap Brad, First welcome to the forum. You say that you have a F350 SRW. Check under the rear and see if you have 4" blocks between your axle and the spring pack. If you do you can have them install the F250 blocks which are only 2". Some people have had Ford do it for them and other people have had to pay to have it done. This would give you 2" more to work with. I don't know why the manufacrurers are in a race to get the highest truck on the market and make them virtually useless to anybody except the people that want to lift them anyway. This makes no sense to me.

RE: heartland is terrible

Well I also had problems with my axles on my Bighorn 3055RL and the dealer did a lousy job on follow up with heartland. From info on the heartland forum I contacted Chris and Jim at Heartland and in a matter of days my problems was solved. The dealer received the axle and two days later I was good to go. Now just how many manufacturers can you call and discuss your problems? Answer, non like heartland, and no, I don't work there. I can think of 2 other companies and they are Glendale (Titaniums) and Nuwa also. Trap
